Every Cup Brings Hope
My name is Dr. Omo Ogbamola, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tripplemos Food Processing Company Inc.
Eleven years ago, I lost my mother to cancer.
Losing someone you love changes you forever. It leaves an emptiness that never truly goes away. Although time has passed, there isn’t a day that I don’t think about her or wish she were still here to see how far life has brought me.
After she passed away, I made a personal commitment that I would continue supporting the fight against cancer in whatever way I could. Over the past eleven years, I have donated to cancer-related causes, supported fundraising initiatives, and volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society because I believe no family should have to face cancer alone.
Today, I am honoured to continue that journey by partnering with the William Osler Health System Foundation through a campaign that is deeply personal to me.
Steeped in Hope is my way of turning remembrance into action.
Each February, during National Cancer Awareness Month, 1% of the profits from the sales of our two Tripplemos Hibiscus Tea blends will be donated to the William Osler Health System Foundation in support of cancer care.
February is especially meaningful to me because it is both National Cancer Awareness Month and my birthday month. Each birthday reminds me that life is a gift. Rather than celebrating only myself, I want to use my birthday as an opportunity to bring hope to others and honour a cause that has shaped my life for the past eleven years.
I will also be inviting my family, friends, customers, and members of the community to join me by making donations through this page so that together we can make an even greater impact.
For our first campaign, I would love to raise $10,000. If we reach that goal, I will be incredibly grateful. If we don’t, I will still be thankful because every dollar raised represents kindness, compassion, and hope for someone who needs it.
