May 5, 1991 - July 6, 2021
July 6th will mark the 4th anniversary of our Osler colleague and friend, Karminder “Kipp” Ghai’s passing. Kipp was our Assistant Manager of Public Safety and a deeply respected and loved presence at Osler.
Kipp touched our lives at Osler and beyond. He was a friend, mentor, trainer, and role model to all of us. He embodied our values and demonstrated them every day in his work. As a passionate health and fitness enthusiast, he inspired the creation of the Annual Kipp Walk for Osler.
With the blessing of the Ghai family, our Public Safety Management Team has once again reopened a fundraising page in Kipp’s honour. Based on the incredible support and feedback from last year, we invite you to walk with us and help raise meaningful funds.
At the request of Kipp’s wife, Sunpreet, all proceeds will be directed to the Cardiology Unit at Brampton Civic Hospital to help build a third cardiac catheterization lab.
Since 2021 and with your help, we’ve proudly raised $46,469.91 in Kipp’s memory—funds that have helped purchase life-saving equipment for Osler’s hospitals.
This year’s walk will take place on Sunday, July 6, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM. We will walk from Etobicoke General Hospital (EGH) to Brampton Civic Hospital (BCH) and finish at Peel Memorial Centre for Health & Wellness (PMC). A total walk of 24 kms.
