Rosa Martino, a beloved soul who graced this world with her warmth and kindness, passed away on April 20, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. She was born on November 12, 1937, in San Nicola da Crissa, Vibo Valentia, Italy, to Chiara and Vincenzo Galloro.In 1960, Rosa embarked on a journey of courage and hope, immigrating to Canada aboard the Andrea Doria, arriving to Halifax with her son Frank. There she reunited with her loving husband, Giuseppe Martino. Together they built a life filled with love and devotion.Rosa’s presence radiated joy wherever she went, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her unwavering Catholic faith, strength, and boundless love were an inspiration to all who surrounded her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered for her generous spirit, her hearty laughter, exquisite culinary skills, and the love she showered upon her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.Rosa dedicated over 20 years of her life to serving at Toronto Western Hospital, where she made significant contributions in environmental services. Her steady commitment, strong work ethic and collaborative spirit were widely recognized by both management and colleagues alike.Rosa Martino is survived by her beloved children: Frank (Debbie), Vicky, Susy (Dimitri). She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren Adam, Paris, and Taylor and her brothers Nicola, Fioravanti, Antonio, Nazzareno, and Lorenzo. She is preceded in death by her husband Giuseppe, her brothers Michele and Mario, and her sister-in-law Vittoria.In lieu of flowers, donations to William Osler Health System Foundation are appreciated.
