May 5, 1991 - July 6, 2021

This year, July 6th will mark the third anniversary of our colleague and friend, Karminder “Kipp” Ghai’s passing. Kipp was our Assistant Manager of Public Safety and a significant presence at Osler.

Kipp touched our lives at Osler and beyond. He was a friend, mentor, trainer and role model to all of us. Kipp lived our values and demonstrated them consistently in his work. He was an avid health and fitness enthusiast, hence the ‘Annual Kipp Walk for Osler!’ 

Our Public Safety Management Team (with permission from the Ghai family) has reopened a fundraising page for this year’s walk. Based on feedback and support from last year’s walk, we welcome you to walk with us and help to raise funds. 

At Sunpreet’s request (Kipp’s wife) all funds will be directed to the Cardiology unit at Brampton Civic Hospital to help fund a new cardiac catheterization lab. 

Since 2021, we've collectively raised $30,343.91 in honour of Kipp. These funds have helped to purchase life-saving equipment in Osler's hospitals. 

This year, on Saturday, July 6th 2024 we will begin the 24 km walk at 9:00 am from EGH to BCH, and then the final leg to PMC.
